BIOGRAPHY
Eleonora Mastropietro is a documentary filmmaker and visual researcher. Her work brings together documentary cinema, photography and territorial research, with particular attention to the representation and narration of places.
She develops visual and research projects focused on territories, their transformations and the forms through which they are known and represented. She is co-founder of Studi sul Qui, a research and cultural-production project based on deep-mapping practice, and of La Fournaise.
She is Associate Professor at the University of Milan, where she works on urban geography, visual geography, territorial representation and audiovisual production.
